I develop web, desktop and mobile applications. Joomla! and Drupal are my primary backend application engines. I also dabble with scalable MVC web application frameworks (i.e. Zend, CakePHP, Ruby on Rails, Django). I like to work with companies and organizations that believe in the value of great design and user interaction.

Joomla desktop billing

Tandolin

is currently working on a desktop billing application built with Adobe Air. It’s based entirely on XHTML/CSS and JavaScript (jQuery on the desktop, MooTools on the client interface). This application is part of a service management extension for the popular Joomla! open-source CMS.

African Bank Ltd

One of the largest banks in South Africa chose Joomla! as a solution for their intranet. Through Tandolin They provided a design in .PSD format I translated that to a Joomla! 1.5 template. African Bank’s internet manager was very pleased with the end result. He also helped out with the navigation. What a great fella to work with!

Platinum Gambling (PokerPros)

Joomla! template design, logo design, and development of a Joomla! 1.5 casino reviews component with dynamic rating functionality. Unfortunately the site was never launched. The design and component are available for sale. Tandolin also fixed cross-browser CSS issues on Pokerpros.co.za, South Africa’s largest poker site.

SacOil Holdings Ltd

SacOil Holdings had just changed its name from Samroc Ltd, and they needed a fresh image to complement the change. Tandolin developed a Joomla! 1.5 site from scratch and built a custom component to display the current share price data for the listed company. The component reads remote xml data from sharenet.co.za, SacOil’s preferred data provider.
