		<description>I spoke to this capetonian coloured male when he made some enquiries regarding something I had for sale and behing one myself I found this dude to be very irrirtating given his newly acquired american accent he aquired over only a month in Miami, something he very proudly told me if I asked if I was speaking to an american - it had relevance to the item being sold :)

		<description>Nice article. Accents can be picked up depending on where you are. I remember an old friend once telling me this, and thus far i cannot disprove it:

If a young man goes to the USA for a month, he comes back home with an american accent, like he was born there! But if the same person goes to another country with an accent that is generally frowned upon (e.g. china, india etc), he maintains his original accent - even if he stays there for 5 years!</description>
