@quincyntuli I agree totally. The AIR /Flex suite is perfect just about anything you can throw at it, including corporate dashboards pulling all kinds of customised data from internal enterprise systems and beyond.

I think the slow adoption rate (in South Africa) is probably due to lack of awareness. Most people will hear the word "Adobe" and immediately think of Photoshop, Acrobat and other graphics packages from the stable. It's a bit of a stretch to now associate this brand name with enterprise development tools such as Java and .Net. From what I've seen the marketing drive has not been that strong for AIR and Flex as it is for the incumbents.

That's why I'm glad that SARS is showing how these can benefit business objectives. Let's hope it's just a matter of time until the value proposition sticks in the minds of CIO's.

Note: Just realised I made a typo when I submitted this post on Muti.

Strange that there is no way to edit your submission's title afterwards. Perhaps a feature that Muti should consider implementing?

Wow, that is very exciting indeed to hear. I think you would most probably find Air /Flex making significant foray in the corporate dashboard arena. There is a drive, where i work to have an all inclusive overview of business performance.
