I’m a South Africa Web Application Developer / Designer. I do interaction design e.g. user interfaces (web, mobile, desktop) and I develop applications on PHP, MySQL, Python, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Flex/AIR. My core focus is on the Joomla framework.
I am passionate about business and finance, and of course computer code and user interaction design. In corporate/academic speak you can narrow that down to “Finance and Information Technology” for the sake of keeping the peace.
I spend my days working on projects at Tandolin, where I’m a co-founder. In case you were wondering what “Figo Mago” stands for, it’s a nickname that was spontaneously invented for me by a neighbour when I was a teenager growing up in Pimville, Soweto (unfortunately that means I must be getting old and wrinkly. Darn! Now why did I just give that away?!).
I liked the Figo Mago nickname so much I chose it as my web alter-ego. My secret’s out.
